Project Donations - TriLakes Post 9-11

What we do:

– Become a part of The American Legion’s Be The One campaign to reach out to struggling veterans with PTSD and/or sexual abuse trauma to help prevent suicides.

– Lead celebrations honoring Veterans and American patriotism (i.e., Memorial Day Ceremony, Monument 4th of July Parade, 9-11-01 flag raising remembrance with local firefighters and police, Veterans Day parade, etc.)

– Educate the next generation on the US Constitution, American Democracy and patriotism by having our veterans in the classroom (in coordination with our local school district).

– Raise money for High School Oratorical Scholarships, Legacy Scholarships, and our own Post 9-11 scholarships for graduating seniors. Urge and fund high school junior men and women (prior to their senior year) to attend Colorado’s American Legion Boys State or American Legion Auxiliary Girls State.

– Raise public awareness about proper American flag display protocol and the honorable retirement/disposal of worn flags.

– Support our local Gold Star families–spouses, children, parents, siblings or others whose loved ones died in service to our nation.
